Frontline fighters for freedom of expression on the net
In Denmark, we take freedom of expression on the Internet as a matter of course, but in China, for instance, and Middle Eastern countries, the powers that be do their utmost to limit or completely block freedom of expression on the net. Meet two people who take up the struggle via Global Voices and make sure that the oppressed voices from these parts of the world are also heard. Meet Danish-born Solana Larsen, chief editor of Global Voices, and Amira Al Hussaini, Global Voices' Middle East editor, and hear how they fight for free speech together with 20 editors and more than 100 voluntary bloggers from Africa, Asia, the Middle East, South America, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe.
